An exploratory journey of finding information in the modern age of technology

What is an IP Address

What is an IP Address? The first thing that comes to mind when laying the foundation for networking is the IP address. Before we know what an IP Address is, let's look at what a Network is. The simplest idea is to exchange data using two or more computers together. So think carefully I told you "two or more computers". By that I mean if we are to create a network we must have at least two computers. You can better understand what I said by looking at the picture below.

Well, then our friends just got an idea of what this network is all about. But I wanted to tell you here what an IP Address is. As I mentioned earlier, computers are not the only ones used in the network we create. In addition, Networking Devices such as Router / Switch / Hub / Printers (some of the Networking Devices) have to be connected to our network. So when each of these devices is connected to the network, we use a unique address type to uniquely identify the devices in the network. Those addresses are what we call IP addresses. Then we need to understand that this unique type of IP Address is in the Network Address category.

Another thing we need to keep in mind is that we have created a network and the network devices in the network that created it can not put the IP address as we like. It has an accepted methodology. Only if we learn exactly that methodology will we be able to build the network we are creating .. that is why we are eating these holes...

So in the next post, we will talk about what those methods are...
